Learning Brazilian Portuguese
In May 2006 I am taking four students and/or professionals to the Rio Grande do Sul area of Brazil. This is a vocational, educational and social tour designed to enrich the individuals appreciation of their profession or studies in another country.
The visit will be four weeks of intensive study and structured learning and we have all undertaken to learn Brazilian Portuguese to further enhance our stay with our Brazilian hosts.
However it has not proved easy to track down teachers or teaching material here in the UK, being based midway between Manchester and Birmingham.
Does anyone have any suggestions for obtaining a good grounding in the language during the fifteen months that we have left ?
